TECHNICOLOR EXILE

TECHNICOLOR EXILE will showcase a collection of new works from Los Angeles-based artists Michael Brunswick, Adam Mars, and John Weston.  Their recent paintings offer a colorful array of slick abstractions, pop slang, and sexually charged imagery that look to inject their dynamic influences with fresh life.  While each artist has a unique sensibility and stylistic approach, the works are tied together through a keen eye for intense colors and an overlapping interest in varied notions of Pop Art.

All three artists received their MFA from Otis College of Art and Design in 2007.  Collectively, their work has been featured in The Los Angeles Times, The Huffington Post, and Juxtapoz Magazine and exhibited at Gallery One (Toronto), Orchard Windows Gallery (New York), Sabina Lee Gallery (Los Angeles), Laguna Art Museum (Orange County), Mark Moore Gallery (Los Angeles), Phantom Galleries (Los Angeles), and California State University (Long Beach).

Set up in a 1,700 sq. ft. ground floor space in historic Downtown Los Angeles, TECHNICOLOR EXILE promises to be an exciting addition to the highly popular Downtown Artwalk on June 14th, 2012 from 6 - 10 PM.  The public is invited to come enjoy a night of art, drinks, and entertainment at an opening reception for the artists.
